Usually there is not a lot of positive news to report when discussing crime statistiics. That said, SafeWise was happy to release their 5th annual Safest Cities report. Here are the 5 Safest Cities in Nevada for 2019. SafeWise welcomes 3 new best cities to Nevada’s safest this year. Boulder City was rated as the #1 safest city in Nevada and was closerly followed by Yerington, and Fallon, Henderson and Mesquite. Mesquite fell from number one in 2018 #3 spot this year, but this desert city still kept violent crime to fewer than two incidents per 1,000 people. All of the cities on our list did better than the rest of the state when it comes to violent crime. The population in many of Nevada’s cities are increasing and along with these changes, urbanization leads to many of the same crime problems in other larger cities around the nation. The current population for Nevada in 2019 is estimated at 3.12 million which is a sizeable increase from its 2.7 million population at the 2010 Census. Nevada currently has one of the strongest growth rates in the country, reflecting a 7% population increase between 2010 and 2015, which ranks us 6th in the nation.
